Join the Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association

We welcome your involvement in GRIPA. You’ll be joining 808 other community-based physicians and share in professional development, patient support, and a sense of camaraderie that can enliven your practice.

The majority of our members are community-based physicians in private practice—both primary care and specialty care practitioners. Approximately 255 of members are employed by Rochester General Hospital or Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

For all insurance products over the years 2003-2007, physicians who were part of GRIPA contracts received an additional $11 million in higher conversion factors, withhold return, gain share and bonus payments, averaging $17,000 per physician.

Requirements are simple

You must be a member of either the Rochester General Physicians Organization or the Wayne County Physicians Organization.
